This page describes what the Eigenia website does with information about the people who read it and the people who write to it. It describes the code that is running, not an intention.

The short version
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Nothing about a visit is counted, stored or sent anywhere. The only information Eigenia receives from this site is what a person deliberately types into one of its two forms and submits. That material arrives as an email in one inbox and stays there until it is deleted.
What the forms ask for
There are two forms. The briefing and collaboration form asks for a full name, an email address, an organization, a short line naming an area of interest, and the message itself. Only the email address and the message are required; the rest can be left empty and the form will still send.
The second form, on the listening pack page, takes a returned pack file or its pasted text, the role the respondent declares, a choice about how they wish to be credited, and an optional return address. Only the text, the role and the credit choice are required. Leaving the return address empty means no results come back, and nothing else about the submission changes.
Nothing is gathered alongside either form. There is no hidden field, no fingerprint of the browser, and no record of which pages were read before the form was reached.
Where a message goes
A submitted form is posted to this site's own server, which checks that the fields are text of a sane length and that the email address looks like an address. The server then hands the message to an external mail server over an encrypted connection and closes the request. That mail server is run by a hosting provider rather than by Eigenia, so the provider's systems handle the message while it is in transit.
The message is delivered to jim@eigenia.nl and to no other address. The sender's own address is set as the reply address, so a reply goes straight back. The site keeps no database: no copy of a submission exists anywhere except that one inbox, and whatever copy the sender kept.
If the server cannot be reached, the page falls back to opening the reader's own email program with the message already filled in. In that case nothing passes through Eigenia's server at all, and what arrives is an ordinary email sent by the reader from their own account.
The one thing the server counts
To stop a script from flooding the inbox, the server counts how many messages have arrived from the same caller within the last ten minutes and refuses the sixth. What it counts against is the network address the request carried. That value is held in memory only, it is discarded when the ten minutes pass or the server restarts, and it is never written to disk, attached to a message or sent anywhere.
What the site puts in your browser
The site sets no cookies. Measured across the whole application: no use of document.cookie, no Set-Cookie header, no server-side cookie read, and no analytics or tracking script of any kind.
Four small values are saved in the browser's own local storage, on the reader's device. They hold the chosen theme, the chosen language, the answer given to the consent banner, and, on the listening pack page, a draft of a return in progress so that a closed tab does not cost somebody half an hour of work. None of the four ever leaves the device, and the site has no way to read them from anywhere else. Clearing site data in the browser removes all four.
Reading the site
Reading a page here sends nothing to Eigenia. There is no record of who visits, what they read or how long they stay, because nothing in this application creates one. This page describes what the site's own code does; it does not describe the ordinary request records that any hosting provider keeps in order to run servers, which sit outside this application.
How long a message is kept
A message is kept until the person who sent it asks for it to be removed. There is no automatic deletion after a fixed period, and this page will not pretend otherwise: the messages are email in one inbox, not rows in a system that could expire them.
Having your message removed
Write to jim@eigenia.nl and ask. Give the date you sent it and the address you sent it from, or quote enough of the message to identify it. The message and any reply thread are deleted from the inbox, and a confirmation goes back to the address that asked.
The same address answers a request to be told what is held, or to have something corrected. There is no form for this and no account to log into. It is one person reading one inbox.
Who to write to
Eigenia B.V. is a private limited company established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Post and email both reach the same place.

When this page changes
If this site starts to collect something it does not collect today, this page is changed before that happens rather than after. Every claim above is meant to be checkable against the source code, and every one of them was checked against it when this page was written.
